Decades after he donated to several sperm banks in California to make some money for college, Jeff gets a phone call that changes his life: it’s Jack, one of his biological children. Over the next 10 years, dozens more kids come out of the woodwork. Across the country, a wife-and-wife filmmaking team become pregnant with twins through a sperm donor. As they imagine what their relationship with the donor could look like and how to approach their growing family’s creation story, they meet Trae, Jack’s queer, single mom. This film interweaves their stories, articulating a heartwarming vision for all the ways to make a family.
